“WAIT! I thought you were buying that?!?”

When it comes to purchasing material who do you expect to buy it? The Homeowner? The GC? Subcontractors?

I understand clients think they can save a few bucks by purchasing material themselves, avoid contractor markup, sounds like the perfect idea.

But wait…imagine the material shows up wrong, broken, or damaged.  Who’s responsible now? Who’s going to spend the time to make it right?

How about warranty work?  Things break, people screw up, construction isn’t perfect.  If the client purchases the material should it be covered by the contractor?  That doesn’t sound fair.

And that’s why we like to take responsibility for purchasing.

  • We account for lead times
  • Confirm all parts and products are compatible
  • Verify quantities (and overages) get ordered correctly.

Purchasing is integral to every construction process.  At Fidelis Builders we understand that and we accept that responsibility.  We know there are times that other options may make sense but when we control the process we find the success of our projects grow.

All you have to do is tell us what you want and we’ll deliver the rest.

Happy Building,

Fidelis Builders
